Lies and the fatherhood of the devil (37-44)
Blocks the Word of Jesus: "My Word has no place in you," "You are not able to listen to My Word."
The devil is your daddy: "You are of your father the devil," "he is a liar and the father of it."
Conforming to the deeds of the devil: "You do what you have seen with your father," "The desires of your father you want to do."
The Eternal Conflict between Truth and Lies (45-47)
"Because I tell you the truth, you do not believe Me. Which of you convicts Me of sin? And if I tell you the truth, why do you believe Me? He who is of God hears God's Words, therefore you do not hear, because you are not of God."
