The Spirit of Antichrist VS The Spirit of Christ
1 John 2:18-27
The spirit of antichrist (2:18-19, 22-23)
The spirit of the age: "It is the last hour; and as you have heard the Antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come."
The spirit of desertion: "They went out from us, but they were not of us...they went out that they might be made manifest, that none of them were of us."
The spirit of lies and denials: "Who is a liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ."
The Spirit of Christ (2:20-21, 23-27)
He teaches His people the truth.
He teaches His people to acknowledge Jesus Christ the Son of God (relationship).
He makes an eternal connection (abide) through the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
He teaches His people how to live in the eternal connection with Jesus Christ.
Spirit of Christ abide in me and may I abide in you!
