"The Gospel of Jesus Christ the Son of God 7"
Mark 4:1-34

The reasoning behind Jesus' use of parables: Jesus makes a distinction between His disciples and the multitude. He does this partly due to the growing opposition He faced and partly due to the crowds insincerity of heart. 4:1-2, 10-12, 21-25, 33-34

The meaning of Jesus' parables: When the Word of God is received by the human heart it will:
Bear much fruit - 4:3-9, 13-20
Accomplish the purpose of God - 4:26-29
Become greater than all others - 4:30-32

Jesus Christ the greatest parable: He is the Son of God and the Son of man; He cleans us with His blood; He is the Lion and the Lamb; He did and is alive forever; He is the Alpha and the Omega.

The continuing use of parables: modern methods; nature is a portrait of God's power; the Word is a sharp sword - living and powerful; The Church is the Bride os Christ; We are the Temple of the Holy Spirit.

"If anyone has ears to hear, let him hear."
