"The Gospel of Jesus Christ the Son of God: 28"
Mark 14:6, 18, 24-28, 34-36
Jesus-Worship Him-Trust Him
Jesus was a sacrifice NOT a victim.
"When they had sung a hymn , they went out to the Mount of Olives." The customary hymn sung during the Passover meal is called the Hallel and it consists of Psalms 113-118. After the meal they would be singing "Bind the sacrifice with cords to the horns of the alter." 118:27
Jesus stood up for the weak. "Let her alone." 14:6. His stand put Him at oppositions with His Apostles.
Jesus ate peacefully with His betrayer. "One of you who eats with Me will betray Me." 14:18 This betrayal did not turn Jesus from His mission of mercy.
Jesus knew all His Apostles would leave Him. "All of you will be made to stumble because of Me this night." 14:27
Though they all forsook Him, Jesus kept his plans for them. "After I have been raised, I will go before you to Galilee." 14:28
Jesus was honest about His sorrow and still willing to submit Himself to God's will. "My soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even to death...nevertheless, not what I will, but what You will." 14:34, 36 Jesus' combination of honesty and submission is the greatest example of relationship with God.
