Psalm 2:1-12
V. 1-3 The masses and their leaders mobilize against the Lord and His Anointed (Christ).
Enraged, they want to end the Lord's influence over their lives.
V. 4-9 Their efforts are futile. God has established His Kingdom under the rule of His Son. That Kingdom will eventually include all the earth. His power will be unstoppable.
V. 10-12 "Now therefore be wise" a gracious invitation to the "kings" and "judges". They may turn and:
1) serve the Lord,
2) worship the Lord,
3) honor the Son,
4) avoid His wrath, and
5) receive His blessing.
The strong man principle. Luke 11:17-23.
The rage of those who lose their power. Matthew 2:16; Revelation 12:12
"Blessed are all those who put their trust in Him."
