A portrait of a man fully surrendered to a relationship with Jesus Christ.
The Players: Jesus and His disciples, John the Baptist and his disciples and the Jews and their disciples.
The Situation: All three groups are in the same location while Jesus' group and John's group are baptizing people. A religious dispute arises, between John's Group and the Jewish group, concerning baptism/purification ceremonies and the popularity of Jesus' ministry.
In this real life drama John shows full surrender:
He trusts the God of Heaven completely.
He testifies concerning Jesus Christ honestly.
He triumphs when Jesus Christ is exalted.
He trades his glory/life for Jesus Christ glory
He sees Jesus Christ as larger than life
