Jonah 1 - 4
1 - Do not run away from the LORD's Word.
"The Word of the LORD came to Jonah...but Jonah ran away from the LORD."
"He went down to Joppa, and found a ship...and went down into it...But Jonah had gone down into the lowest parts of the ship, and laid down."
2 - Do remember the LORD when you get down.
"When my soul fainted within me, I remembered the LORD; and my prayer went up to you"
Do you need to remember the LORD today?
3 - Do not forget the LORD's Word is powerful!
"Arise, go...preach...the message that I tell you." "So the people believed God." "God relented from the disaster."
Do you need to renew your trust in His Word?
4 - Do accept the LORD's values over comfort.
"You have had pity on a plant...should I not pity t hat great city, in which...120,000 persons?"
"Persons who cannot discern between their right hand and their left-and much livestock?"
Do you need to realign your heart with God's?
